  1. I think the skill is spotting the everyday differences between home and wherever you are visiting. Those differences are often the small things.

    1. Yes, totally agree. I think the trick, well it is for me, is to start photographing the second you get to a new place because the brain familiarises location and situation very quickly.

  2. Your commenty thing is weird. But that may be because I am 20th Century or something.

    The colour on these images looks rather 1980s to my eyes….I suppose because I was there (in the 80s of course not in Japan).

    Is that intentional or accidental?

  4. When I’m on vacation I like to buy the post cards with the pretty pictures and shoot scenes like these myself. It’s more personal.

  6. Beautifully seen and crafted images – I’d hardly refer to them as ‘snaps’. I love your mono work, but I would like to see more color too, please. 🙂
